Artist: Tim Curtin I've been working in clay for twenty years now, and what originally started as a lark has become a definite obsession. I love the ability to sit down with a lump of mud and turn it into something beautiful and long-lasting with nothing more than my hands and fire.
These are *not* your run-of-the-mill corner store bottle toppers -- they are a labor of love, each truly one-of-a-kind, take hours to make, and are built to last! The business end is machined from the highest quality stainless available anywhere, which is then carefully attached to my creations using industrial-strength epoxy. Unlike most stoppers that are plated and can flake or pit, these are medical-grade and can be kept in a bottle for as long as you like. Perfect for anything from wine to perfume to vinegar.

Handmade creature with a wild curly tail, big mouth (great for knickacks, rings, incense cones, or a small plant), two legs, two long... horns? Antique bone skin made by brushing on thinned glaze, wiped partly off. Frog Pond green inside the body, and on appendages. Very organic-looking, humorous and beautiful - your bureau or kitchen counter has never seen anything like this, and its sure to be a conversation-starter!
"Toro" is hand-thrown and altered stoneware, fired to cone six glaze. Each Curly Creature takes several hours of work, and like all ceramic art, no two pieces are the same. Numbered, dated, and given an impression of my personal name stamp.
This beast will be content resting on a windowsill in the sun, holding down your papers, showing off on a shelf or in your garden. Food safe, should you choose to use it for such. With their long tails, these guys are fragile, so exercise care when handling your Curly Creature!
Dimensions: 8.5" long, 5" wide, about 3" tall.
Convo me if you'd like a cork added in to use him as a small jar or covered container.
